…are creative thinkers, designers and storytellers. We help individuals, teams and organisations reach out and connect with the world using engaging and inspirational digital media. Through a rich mix of contemporary design and digital technology, we build communication solutions that identify and channel the RIGHT message, through the RIGHT medium, so it has the desired effect with the RIGHT people.

…it’s over 25 years in the making!
“There is no doubt that creativity is the most important human resource of all. Without creativity, there would be no progress, and we would be forever repeating the same patterns.”
Dr. Edward de Bono, brain training and lateral thinking pioneer

For thousands of years, the learned, scholars and tribal elders have handed down stories and tales shaping values, beliefs and dreams. Most are now lost in the mist of time but the craft of good storytelling plays as big a part now in influencing modern cultures and societies as it has at any point in our history.
Whether it’s cave paintings and ancient scripture or virtual reality and social media, the principles of connecting and engaging with people through exciting and compelling narratives are exactly the same. Touch someones’s heart, motivate them to achieve great things or simply inspire them to be better. Which ever way, a great story told in the right way has the power to reach into the soul.
We believe everyone’s story is interesting and fascinating to somebody. Finding that ‘somebody’ and getting them engaged to the point where the pupils narrow and the cogs start ticking is where our challenge begins…

Invariably, motion graphics feature in all our film based projects in one shape or another. They add a unique character and quality which when timed up with audio assets like voice overs and music can help characterise, describe and explain in a very direct manner. Add movement to shape and colour and you create another level of visual interest. As people’s thumbs scroll forever faster, the time we get to engage interest is forever shrinking. Adding motion to the media mix increases your chances of a ‘stop and watch’. Motion graphics help break down complex information so messages and stories can be delivered in easier to understand chunks. It is ideal for tutorials, describing processes, visual interpretation of data and explaining concepts and ideas.
MOTION
GRAPHICS

Moving picture is truly the medium of the moment. Not because of its unique contribution to the communication, entertainment and education of popular culture of the last 75 years, but because everyone can now actively engage with it as both as an author and a consumer. Digitisation and advances in technology mean we now carry cameras in our pocket, create video on the fly and share with the world at the click of a button. However, the craft of quality cinematography remains a skilled profession. Emotionally engaging audiences through compelling and exciting narratives continues to be an art and a creative occupation. Here at MediaXtreme we have a full in-house film and post production facility that supports full 422HD XDCAM suitable for both short and long form broadcast.
MOVING
PICTURE

Modelling and 3D animation has been a core service since 1994 and things in this space have changed significantly since. Inspired by the likes of Disney, Pixar, Lucus Films and Industrial Light and Magic, we have in the last 20 years watched on in awe as the achievements of these companies have gone ballistic. Alas, our capabilities in the 3D arena are somewhat more modest but our application and ambitious attitude for the format has resulted in some extremely successful client projects. 3D animation offers levels of control over movement, light, simulation and quality that no other medium can. It is great for product visualisation, describing complex processes, building scenes and scenarios that can’t physically exist in the real world and visually explaining conceptual ideas.
ANIMATION

Using all the latest internet technologies, we design and develop fully responsive websites that seamlessly flow across all browsing platforms. Sound familiar? Well that’s because there are millions of people and businesses out there professing to do just that. So, how do you make a choice? A good website is the culmination of a number of different factors. It needs to be graphically well designed, it’s user interface needs to logical and easy to navigate, it has to be built in a technically sound manner, the content needs to be relevant and concise, it must be mobile friendly, it needs to comply with all legal legislation and of coarse, it needs to be attractive and appeal to search engines. Creating a website is infinitely more complicated than it was in 1997 when we built our first, so if nothing else, give us a call for some free advice!
WEB
DEVELOPMENT

Graphic design is the craft of creating visual content to communicate messages, concepts and ideas. Given this, it might be said that graphic design is then an intrinsic element in everything we do. With this we agree. However, in our now digital world, the term amongst many industry professionals often refers to paper and print based services. For us, this is where it all began and brand development, magazine production, catalogue and brochure design, advertising and all the associated print and production services that support it, still form a large part of our everyday business… Albeit that it’s all now created digitally!
GRAPHIC
DESIGN

Portraiture, lifestyle, landscapes and product photography all form part of our back catalogue of work. Generally, our photographic services are in place to support our design and web based projects but we have participated in a number of specialist commissions over the years. Additionally, we are associated with a number of professional photographers who specialise in a range of disciplines including, motorsport, event and special effects photography. Please call to discuss your specific needs.
PHOTOGRAPHY

Basic skills developed many moons ago using pencils, pastels and airbrushes have long since been transferred into digital environments. However, the basic principles and understanding of light, shade, perspective and proportion remain core. From simple logos, graphics and cartoons to complex technical illustrations, we still love to get our hands dirty with range of illustrative styles and techniques. Additionally, much of this experience and knowledge has helped greatly with our modelling and animation and increasingly we are turning to 3D applications to produce final illustrative artwork.
ILLUSTRATION

The process of starting out with nothing and ending up with something is one that continues to amaze us. Creativity and human innovative processes are of central importance to our understanding of how culture evolves and accumulates and countless academics and scholars have poured an eternity of research into the subject. In short, the creative capacity of human beings is astounding. However, the creative journey isn’t always a smooth one and to arrive at a point where an idea or concept can be deemed a success can often be the result of a lot of blood, sweat and tears. We sit in on meetings and help brainstorm, conceptualise and problem-solve. Wearing a variety of hats we can add clarity and value to the creative process and with a pragmatic and logical approach can help disseminate, scrutinise and test concepts and ideas.
